Eye Care

Because of the structure of Exotic's (Persian's) head (flatter faces, bigger eyes) your kitty probably will have watery eyes. Sometimes tears can be absolutely clear, and sometimes they can leave a brownish stains under cat's eyes. It's normal.
You will need to clean your cat's eyes approximately once a day. You can use for cleaning either just a warm water, a special solutions such as, for example, Opticlear eye cleaning solution, or a liquid for contact lenses will work well for it also.

Wet a cotton pad or a q-tip with the cleaning liquid and carefully wipe your kitty's eyes.

If you notice that your cat's eyes became irritated, or you see a goopy eye discharge, it means that your cat has got either an eye infection, scratch, cold or viral infection. Only your vet can determine the real cause of the redness and give you a proper medication.
