Traveling with your cat
There are some considerations regarding safety and comfort of your kitty when she travels with you.
If you travel by plane, airlines will want advance notice that you plan on bringing your cat with you. Every air company has its own requirements for traveling pets. Make sure to check them. In general airlines will want a health certificate for the cat with rabies information. Cat should be placed in a carrier of the required size (if you want to bring your kitty on the boar, the cat's carrier should fit under the chair).
We also strongly recommend using carriers traveling by other types of transportation. This way your cat is protected from disturbance. We found that absorbing baby blankets work really well in case when the cat accidentally pees in the carrier (if the carrier is not big enough to put a litter box inside). If the carrier is big and there is a place for the litter box, then using small litter box, taping it to the carrier's floor, will help your kitty to feel comfortable during the trip.
Do not forget to take with you water and some food for your cat. You can purchase at any pet store special dishes that can be connected to the inside side of the carrier's door.
If your cat does not like to travel and gets very upset being outside the house you may try to use a special herbal medicine to calm your kitty down. For example,
Homeopathy Calm for Cats .
